Axcient was a hardware-based network storage and data recovery service in Mountain View, California. I was the lead designer and photographer for a series of end-user collateral pieces that included a main product brochure, data sheets and other marketing materials for their “ServerAlive” Campaign.
Working with the Marketing Team at Axcient, I came up with a design style and color palette based on their existing logo. The intention was to highlight concepts with bold color blocks and background textures while preserving the clean look with effective balance of white space, drawing the viewer to different sections of the material with an organized design approach.
As internet speeds for data transfer got faster over the years Axcient was one of the first companies to offer cloud-based/hybrid storage solutions, and as of today they continue to innovate and lead with hardware-free backup and disaster recovery services for MSPs with their x360 Recover products.
I worked on the ServerAlive campaign during my time at MetroTech Advertising and Public Relations headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Product Photography
For Axcient, I photographed their entire product line of storage devices at different angles and focal points. This created a library of images that was used in the various printed collateral and on their company website.
To capture enough surface detail of the chassis and faceplates it was necessary to keep the exposure on the blacks as light as possible with a warmer white point. The final edited result was achieved using a combination of HDR and edits in Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
